To keep your This Charming Girl jewellery pieces looking their best, here are a few tips and guidelines:
Avoid wearing perfume at the same time as your jewellery. Perfume contains strong chemicals which can cause a reaction meaning the plating will tarnish and eventually break.
Brass items need to be looked after as brass tarnishes over time (although this does add to the vintage look!). To get your pieces shiny again just give them a wipe with some Brasso.
Please treat your pieces gently! Although every care is taken to ensure the strongest materials are used (i.e. glue) they may not withstand hard labour! If you have accidentally broken a chain we sell replacement chains in the shop.
The best way to store your pieces is out of direct sunlight and in a clear zip-lock bag to prevent them from getting tangled up.
Silver plated items can be restored with a silver jewellery cloth which you will find in most supermarkets.
